In this special 30-minute talk, Pardue will share insights from her close collaboration with artist Bob Haozous (Warm Springs Chiricahua Apache) in shaping this first major retrospective of his work. Spanning six decades and featuring more than 75 pieces—including sculpture, painting, prints, and jewelry—the exhibition captures Haozous’s incisive social commentary and overlooked contributions to contemporary art.

Known for using satire and irony, Haozous challenges perceptions of Indigenous art, exploring its place as art, commodity, and cultural practice while reflecting on the philosophical meaning of being Indigenous in the postmodern world.
